ETS Global’s team at “Odyssea” and “La Parisienne” races

ETS Global participates in “La Parisienne” and "Odyssea" Races to Support Breast Cancer Research in Paris.

ETS Global team members from ETS Global offices in Paris and Amsterdam joined thousands of other women in the 19th edition of La Parisienne race. In addition, the team also participated in the Odyssea race. Both these events aim at raising funds for the fight against breast cancer.

La Parisienne is an annual event organised since 1997 in Paris (France). It is the largest race fully dedicated to women in Europe. ETS Global team members were thrilled to take part in the event that sheds light on the courage of women who are fighting or have fought breast cancer.

I enjoyed every minute of the race!” says Emilie Giret, ETS Global Key Account Manager. “It was fantastic to see such positive energy among the runners and heart-warming to see supporters and musicians encouraging us despite the rain! It was great to catch up with ETS Global colleagues from the Amsterdam office - Thank you ETS Global for giving us the opportunity to participate, can’t wait for next year!

Despite the rain, over 39.000 women gathered at the foot of the Eiffel Tower as the starting point for the 6,7 kilometres long race with finish line at “l’Ecole Militaire”.

It was one of the best runs I ever had! Every run is a new challenge, a new start, a new victory. Running is like life. When you’re running you don’t need to beat anyone to be victorious; perseverance is one of the most important abilities you can have. It has ups and downs. Your legs are not the ones that will bring you far but your attitude in the hard kilometres; and most importantly, like in life, the people around you are what makes the run special. Thank you to all the participants for making a rainy day a beautiful and warm run!

Odyssea is an association created in 2002 that annually organises races of 5 or 10 km in 9 cities in France. The first edition of Odyssea was held in Paris in 2002 at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. About 1 000 women participated and € 10,000 were collected. Since then, over 3000 volunteers are mobilising each year to organise these events. Over the past 15 years, they managed to collect 5.4 million euros. These events are aimed to convey a strong message of prevention through sport, inviting women, men and children to share their strides and to gather around a charitable cause.

For the 15th edition of the race, 36 people of ETS Global's team, men and women, wore the famous pink t-shirt of the race and took part in the 5 and 10km. In total, over 44 000 participants took the start and formed this "pink wave" ever more enthusiastic and supportive. More than € 600,000 were collected and will be donated to charities or organisations working for the fight against breast cancer.
