Format and content of the test  

The TOEIC test Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing with remote proctoring lasts 2 hours 25 minutes. Plan 3 hours maximum for the entire duration of the exam which includes approximately 45 minutes of administrative review and the test itself. 

The TOEIC test Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing is taken on a computer.

1- The Listening Comprehension section 

The Listening section assesses the level of proficiency in understanding spoken English. It consists of four parts. You will be asked to answer questions based on a variety of statements, questions, short conversations and short recorded speeches in English. 

  • Part 1: Photographs 
  • Part 2: Questions and Answers 
  • Part 3: Conversations 
  • Part 4: Presentations / Announcements 

2- The Speaking Expression section 

The TOEIC Speaking test is designed to provide information about the English-speaking language ability of speakers across a range of English proficiency as a second language. It consists of 11 test questions and lasts 20 minutes: 

  • Tasks 1-2: Read a text aloud 
  • Task 3-4: Describe a picture 
  • Tasks 5-7: Respond to questions 
  • Tasks 8-10: Respond to questions using provided information 
  • Task 11: Express an opinion 

3- The Reading Comprehension section 

The Reading section comprises three parts to assess your level of understanding of written English. You will read different documents and answer questions related to the content of these documents. 

  • Part 5: Incomplete Sentences 
  • Part 6: Complete Texts 
  • Part 7: Reading of various content 

4- The Writing Expression section 

The TOEIC Writing test provides useful information about the English-writing ability of test-takers across a range of proficiency levels. It consists of 8 questions and lasts 60 minutes: 

  • Tasks 1-5: Write a sentence based on a picture 
  • Tasks 6-7: Respond to a written request 
  • Tasks 8: Write an opinion-based essay

Test registration  

You will receive an email from us, inviting you to select the test session of your choice among a list a of dates chosen by your Training Centers or your Academic Institution. Don’t forget to check out you spams! 

 

Score and receipt date 

TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests are not pass/fail assessments. There is no penalty for wrong answers. Tests measure different levels of ability, and a single, continuous scale enables you to set attainable goals and measure your progress. 

Score range and CEFR:  

With a maximum of 10 days days after your test session, you will receive by email your digital score report.  

Note: if your score is strictly below 225 points, i.e. below the A2 level on the CEFR scale, then you will receive a proof of completion report without a TOEIC score.
