The Career choice, training and skills passport

Consequences and impact for certifying body.

The carreer passport stated in the law of 5th September (L6113-8 of the Labour Code) will come into effect on 1 july 2021 and will have direct impact for certifying body.

The law of 5 September 2018 concerning the freedom to choose one’s professional future requires all certifying body to “communicate information about certification holders” (L6113-8 of the Labour Code).

The state has mandated that the Caisse des Dépôts (CDC) gather all data concerning French people obtaining certifications from each certifying body whose certifications are listed in the Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles (RNCP) or the Répertoire Spécifique (RS). This requirement goes into effect on 1 July 2021.

The data delivered to the CDC will be certified and made available to French people throughout their careers by way of a “Career choice, training and skills passport.”

ETS Global, as the main certifier for certifications filed with the RS, is a member of the pilot group for the implementation of this project.

Starting on the 1st of July, all data requested by law for test takers holding a TOEIC®, BRIDGE® and TOEFL® score will be released to the CDC for inclusion in the “Career choice, training and skills passport”, which, according to our information, should be available at the start of 2022.
